1. Click on a shape on the timeline.

3. In the New Date field, enter the desired date.

3. Select a timeline or SmartArt graphic related to the process, such as B. the following:

To remove an entry from your timeline, do one of the following:

• On the SmartArt graphic, select the text in the entry's text box that you want to delete and press DELETE.

• In the text area, select all the input text you want to delete and press DELETE.

    1. On the shape layer, place the cursor at the end of the text where you want to add a new shape.

    2. Press Enter and type the text you want in your new shape.

Use:You can also change the layout of the SmartArt graphic by clicking a layout option on thedraftsgroup notProjecttab belowSmartArt Tools. When you point to a layout option, its SmartArt graphic changes to show a preview of how that layout would look.

To quickly give your SmartArt graphic a designer-quality look and polish, you can change the colors or apply a style to your timeline. You can also add effects like glow, soft edges or 3D effects. This is also possible with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010animate your timeline.

You can apply color schemes derived from theme colors to entries in your SmartArt graphic.

1. Click the SmartArt graphic whose color you want to change.

2. UnderSmartArt Tools, about itProjectguide in whichSmartArt styleclick groupchange colors.

3. Click on the desired color scheme.

1. In the SmartArt graphic, right-click the border of the entry you want to change and clickformat form.

2. To change the input frame color, clickline color, cliquecor and then click on the desired color.

3. To change the leading border style, clickline styleand select the desired line styles.
